After a brief delay in the midst of the global coronavirus pandemic, Lang Lee's third album, There is a Wolf, was completed in the summer of 2021 to document 10 songs of considerable depth and breadth. Unnie Choir, a choir group known for celebrating sexual diversity and feminism, joins Lee in the title track “There is a Wolf" and the closing track "The Generation of Tribulation (Choir Ver.)." As these two collaborative tracks serve as the fabric that holds the album together, Lee expands upon her already diverse musical palette—from explorations of a cappella in "Conversations" to symphonic ambience in "I Want to Sleep Willfully"—all the while retaining a sense of familiarity of her earlier works. There is a Wolf will be a treat for fans and new listeners alike, serving as a perfect showcase of the songwriter’s versatility and maturity.

I think it's difficult to write songs about something other than romantic love, and still be able to communicate the intensity with which those feelings can hit a person. Some of the entries on this album are fantastic examples of this niche. dani_bloop
